METAL CONDITIONER PROTECTS THE ENGINE / STUNT RIDER SAMI LUND

Here is my experience with X-1R Metal Conditioner. Naturally, I have used the metal conditioner the most. It's probably the most common X-1R product and protects the most expensive parts of the car. I guess my case is a little different than usual. It's a passenger car, but the use is a bit different, so I drive a car with two tyres. I started a hobby about 6-7 years ago, which turned into a summer job 5 years ago. At the beginning I had to struggle a bit to get the car to last.

Durability meant not only the engine, but also the gearbox and differential.

In the practice cars, the engine had a problem that the oil pump would gasp and the oil pressure would disappear for a while. Of course, there was oil in the valve train because it was flooded. The flooding was due to the oil not returning to the sump by the correct route. Adding too much oil was out of the question because the top of the engine just flooded even worse.

Then at a local garage, this metal conditioner came up. I figured that the higher the heat or pressure, the better it would work. That's what the product presenter mentioned, I think. So this might be the salvation to my problem. If only this lubricant would make the machine last the time it doesn't get proper lubrication, I wonder. The crankshaft, connecting rod, camshaft bearings are probably the worst, not to mention the pistons.

Now time has passed and I still have the same car and the same engine.

No related problem has arisen. In the spring of 2012, I replaced the bearings in the connecting rod as a matter of interest. To no avail. No wear, no fastener marks, no signs of heat. There were a few scratches as there should be on a much driven old car. Now the car has been driven with only two tires for about 5000km and will continue for the coming season.

GEARBOX, DIFFERENTIAL AND POWER STEERING

The gearbox and differential have basically the same lubrication problems. Both work with splash lubrication. This also doesn't work as designed at the Bayern factory.

But both are still working normally. The gears engage better and the box doesn't make any noise. If you think about the differential a bit, the cheek bearing on one side, for example, doesn't get lubricated at all as long as the car is "on its side". I once drove back and forth for about 10 km at the airport and the cheek bearing certainly didn't get lubricated.

A quick mention also of the power steering. I once broke a power steering hose from another car of the same type. I drove about 3km home. After that the power steering pump started making noise and I think it still does. Like hell, the hose on this 2wheels car of mine broke as well. The booster had metal polish in it. I finished the show without the booster. Difference from before; the booster pump didn't break down and start holding the vol.
